Hi folks.
My garden is a long garden in a public park in Manhattan running
east to west. I have some Clematis Jackmanii on the north side of
the garden (seen in the lower picture below) and another vine on
the south side (the upper picture below). It's been very rainy this
spring and early summer, so both vines have gotten masses of water.

However, notice how the vine with the southern exposure responds
so much better than the the one on the north side.

Not a surprise, but an interesting observation.
