Thread OP

I have started coleus seeds before and they turned out o.k. This time the seeds all germinated and the first leaves were huge, i measured one at 8". When i pinched it back, the new leaves not only changed color but were normal sized. Is this normal? The one I did pinch stayed the newer color. the first picture is what the plants look like with the new growth, the second picture is the one from the pinched plant.

THere are many different strains of coleus and maybe this year you have seeds for an unstable genetics one ?
WHat were they labelled ?

These seeds were from a pkg. bought from Baker Creek. They were called 'Rainbow Floral Strain'. The first leaves always came out either burgundy/pink or green and then changed when I pinched the plant.
