Like the picture..lucky you! I'm sitting on the patio ( only place I can get a signal) and as I catch up here I can hear and watch a pair of red tail hawks calling to each other and flying around the yard...way cool...just love it!!

We saw a flock of 8-9 wild turkeys in one of the yards on our county road driving down to our cabin Saturday. I've even seen them on the edge of my town (just north of Austin) before.

I wonder how wild some of these "wild" turkeys are.
IN my home town some in the flock are white.
Now I know these came from feral domestic turkeys put in a wild life enclosure but as they can fly in and out you do not have to have more than a 2nd grade education to know they will fly out and eventually breed with true wild turkeys.
The ones in my town which are literally becoming vermin, cannot be moved for reason of contamination wild turkeys with a disease domestic carry.
I wonder how long before some one has the cajones to legally decide to reduce the population in a lethal manner.
Those at my place will cease to exist as soon as I have chance to do it.
