This is my first summer with it, bought last fall. I will put cuttings in the propagator. Remind me.

Is anyone growing Sedum 'Thunderhead' yet? I would like to know if it gets floppy or stays very upright like Autumn Joy.

Connie, I have Thunderhead, but it just a tiny baby rooted cutting. I can let you know next year.

Ok, next year... I'm renovating a blank spot in front where I took out a "way past its time" prickly juniper type shrub. It is bordered on two side by the driveway and the sidewalk coming off at a right angle. Since nowadays I look for "drought tolerant" I was thinking a couple of tall sedums in the rear and ground cover sedum in front. I have plenty of Autumn Joy I can divide and move there, so one down.

I have some other rooted tall type sedum Connie, if you would like them?

Your going to be there? What time are you going? I was going to try being there by 9:00 a.m.

I'll try to be early like you but don't count on it. I may shoot for 10:00. It is about a 40 minute drive for me. Then again, I am well aware that the early bird gets the worms. This is one sale I really look forward to... so many plants that can't be found in our local nurseries.

I've been out digging this area and turning the soil over and over, breaking up the clumps. I keep coming across this black plastic "mulch" that we put down more than 35 years ago when we planted the shrub. In the end that stuff doesn't do much to keep weeds out over time.

We had the same thing here when we bought this house. All the flower beds were covered in black plastic with big rocks covering it.
