Hi, I am not sure how it will turn out, but here it is my little experiment. I had to think how I can save some space. I can place 9 plants. Great for seedlings IMHO Your thoughts and opinions are welcome

I saw that pot or one like it at home depot, now maybe I'll go back and get one. It looks like a great idea, but it does look very heavy? I guess if you live in a zone where you can leave it out all year it's a good idea. I'm wondering how heavy it is.

I am just thinking how long would I need to wait before I can put it in a full sun? I also trimmed some plants. What do you think? I did not water it yet. I just left outside for a short time and it got some moister from a small rain we had.

Jim, it is very light, I was moving around a lot yesterday and today trying to get the right spot no sun and no rain. I also experimenting my new mix which is very very light. I repotted 4 of my large plants in nice pots for the front yard. The pots itself are heavy, but with the mix it is almost the same weight. I will pot a picture later.

Jim, check the flea market, I think it is cheaper. I paid $2.00 for the pot, so total is $6.00 a set. I will go back and get more and will do for the arabicum /soco set.

most the time it is recommended with any plant bright light (no direct sun) for3-5 days ,then i say give 3-4 hrs of am /pm sun for 3 days then let go in to whatever sun they are going to be in best to find a home they like and when you do leave them there it drives plants being moved around place to place all the time .

OK, The only choice I have no direct sun @ all but exposed to rain and No rain but sun from 4 PM. What is better?

if good drainage and soil is light like you say rain water is always better for plants if just transplanted i would be careful this next 5-7 days we are to get a lot of heavy rain im protecting all mine due to the age of them and they are not "hard grown" so stems are to green and will start to rot again with days of rain and no break with sun or drying wind

That's so nice mocropot..like a multi-layered bonsai effect I use same pot system for my cacti and succulents..they love it there. Mine came with a saucer at the bottom, which I have removed altogether, so the water will drain out fast.

Tarev, I need to go up, I have no space LOL. Mine are cheap from flea market. Any time I need to buy a nice pot I postpone thinking I would better to spend on a plant LOL Cannot afford plant and a pot all together in the amount I have it here

Same here mocropot, not much space..so like you, if I can layer them the plant, I do it Oh btw, for that multi-layered pot, I have put a turntable under the last pot, so all sides gets good sunshine as needed.

For my plants then, not so much, most where round cacti and upright growing succulents. So I turn them when I remember it..I noticed they sulk a bit if they got used to that amount of sun and I change it. I just like to turn my plants too because I wanted to know if there were any flowering buds..if there is, I turn them quickly around to face the sun to hasten the growth or to remove debris coming from the city trees, makes for easier cleanup as well.

But in your case, you might have to do the turn a little more often maybe once a week??, since Adeniums are branching, so growth will be even.

I'm finding this thread interesting because I've always been told that if you turn an Adenium it exposes the underside of the leaf to get sun burned and it's not healthy! I'm thinking that maybe that (don't turn) advice is just for the hot Florida area. Have you had any problems with burn?

Jim, I did have some sun burns not with these plants but with some others. It usually happens when I transfer all plants from my FR where they all were hiding during the winter time outside. I wait till March 15th and then when I have time I move them. Well, I might not have time right after the 15th and then it is already too hot, so couple plants may be 2 got some sun damage, but I did not notice it hurt the plant, it continues grow as normal. I will see if I find the spot and make a picture.
So, I am thinking if I turn once a week they should be Ok. Also they will all get some sun more or less, they will be moving along with the planet LOL

i think if you turn more often you keep the leaves from turning toward the light and its ok If you wait till your leaves are turned to much and hit they side or under the leave it will cause damage to the leaf wich might cause it to drop thats not to bad but i would be more worried about the caudex getting sunburned that ia lot more shock to the plant

and if you have under cover for a longer period it is best to slowly introduce to full sun over a good week
