Forgot about bulbs. Yeah, I dig into mine frequently, too.
On the daylilies, it was as much to keep track of an experiment as anything else. Bought similar colorways to see which ones I liked best and which did well in our growing conditions. The ones not up to snuff are given away. More importantly to my wallet, wanted to make sure those aren't bought again simply because I didn't remember what ones they were!
I used to have a phenomenal memory. Example, in the late 70s-early 80s worked at a small town convenience store with gas pumps at a time when car tags were recorded on the credit card slips. Had more than 400 license plate numbers in my head. With the TIA and the MS cognitive changes, and just plain aging, my brain has a thick Teflon coating, so not much gets past to stick inside.
And you know what? It has been liberating! Less stress, less worries. Proverbial blessing in disguise, where I don't *have* to be the one to keep track of everything. Except my flowers (especially the ones that went bye-bye). Which is a wayyyy different story.
So, I don't really have a lot of drive, I think I'm just cheap.
