Looking at all the pictures of this gorgeous plant and am wondering about how and when it changes colors like that.

I notice it seems to go from a pale green violet to deep burgandy and then to deepest purple/black.

Is that seasonal? And how long - weeks, months years? I'm all ears!

It is a beauty! The colors change throughout the season at different times, depending on where you live. If you hold your mouse over the many pictures of this one I believe everybody shows the dates the pictures were taken. Hopefully that will give you an idea of when the colors change, especially the pictures from people who live in your zone.

Thanks, I'll look again and view the dates.
