Kathy, I don't know why I couldn't open that video the other day, but it is working fine for me this morning. Checked out all of them, and the articles. Interesting stuff!

Glad you are enjoying them. I really love collecting information about orchids. It adds another dimension to my collecting if I know more about them.

Interesting articles! I had to chuckle about the Ghost orchid. No wonder they are considered endangered! Who, but a birdwatcher would ever spot one unless it was in bloom? When I see them listed for sale, I always wonder how the seller came to have them...

Kathy,
the link right under "New Orchids discovered" could use a html at the end of the link instead of a htm please?

About the Ghost Orchid, Oak Hill Gardens sold tiny "plants" ( artificially propagated/not removed from nature) of this one very reasonably prized if one wanted to try to grow them. ( like 2 for 20 bucks) They were small twigs with cute little curly roots. I tried twice and failed, but I have seen pictures of really nice flowering plants which people managed to grow and bloom. They were awesome! The tricky part seems to keep constant humidity about them.
Btw the fellow on the left of the page (Prem S.) is really good about photographing and tracking Florida Orchids and is quite known. Here is his website
