I seriously doubt it could overwinter since it is an annual. Seeds falling do germinate now so give it a try.

I have volunteers to the level of weeds.

Too late to plant, not really.

I just noticed that this response was from zone 3, maybe I will give it a try this year and check the spot where they were growing last year!

Yes, definitely. It sprouts pretty late, so any seeds dropped last year should be coming up about now.

I wonder if they can grow out here in the vegas desert, i hear butterflies, and hummingbirds really like to feed on cleome, anyone have any seeds they want to share so i can try growing some.
