Most of the blooms display as two-toned white and yellow, However, on a few, the upper petals are light yellow, not white.
This is a beautiful over-wintered seedling, that now has a 12" spread and has had continuous bloom. My dead-heading of this plant has not been diligent, however, I have not seen any seed pods.

Oh, don't you just love pansies? They are so sweet and they make you smile. I used to dry them in the phone books and make dried flower crafts with them. I especially love the light blue ones.

Here is what I would do in order to catch those seeds. Take a newspaper, several sheets together and cut out a circle. Now cut a line to the middle on one side only and place the whole thing under your plant. The newspaper will degrade, but if the pansy is dropping seeds you will be able to collect them before a rain. Otherwise they will burst and pop and the seeds are in the wind as they say. Crossing Fingers!

Thank you! Your method helped me. I was successful in capturing lots of seeds. 🙂

Thank you! It spontaneously appeared at the end of August '18. It reminds me of Lemon Meringue Pie. I wonder if viola Etain was one of the parents. I was happily surprised that it over-wintered under the snow and has bloomed continuously spring through now. 🙂
