Last year I grew two of the Datura metel 'Ballerina' series for the first time.

In most parts of the United States datura is considered an annual.

Datura metel 'Ballerina' plants, like other datura plants, like fertilizer, sun and water.

What I really like about the Ballerina series is their compactness.

I grew them in 8 inch containers and added some polymers to the potting medium to increase the moisture holding capacity of the potting medium. In addition, 1 tbsp. of Osmocote, 19-6-12 was added to the pot and I sprinkled about 1 tbsp. of bone meal over and around the roots before covering them with the potting medium.

I watered regularly and these datura plants grew to a height of about 2 1/2 to 3 feet flowering the entire growing season.

I do like the 'Ballerina' daturas! But I couldn't find seeds when I was looking for them. Yours look wonderful! I'll remember your potting technique if I ever come across seeds. Thumbs up

That would be fun! I'll have to star this thread so maybe I'll remember. Sigh. I no longer have a brain, only a hard drive. Hilarious!
