It is 11:00 A.M. and the temp here is only 84 F. However the humidity is 50 % and the dew point is 64 ! We are very moist. The storms predicted yesterday were a bust untill 10:00 last night. We received .40 inches of soaking rain then. Hurray! It was clearing here for a while this morning but big clouds are rolling in from the SW so we are hoping for another round ! Thumbs up

YAY LINDA!!!!!

It's 78 right now in my neighborhood. I opened my windows and turned off the AC!
It's raining too ... not hard, but a soft gentle rain. Hurray! Hurray!

ditto what Becky said... since we're just couple miles apart. Very nice and hoping for more!

Hurray! Tucson did receive a ton of rain this afternoon. We only received .30 but places like Oro Valley got over 3 inches !! We were in the lower rain area. Sad We topped out at only 86 F today. Really nice. Still pretty overcast but the storms are supposed to be about finished.

Since there were already some July posts made I decided to convert Linda's post to the July sticky. Hmmmm Sticky. How appropriate.

I took a pic of the thermometer on my patio. Today my laundry is drying outside faster than is would in the dryer. No more dryer for me in this weather.

When Becky Boopaints moved from her house to apartment she gave me her Plumies.. I think FishKnees (RunsWithScissors) gave them to her originally. Well, I have them and repotted about a year ago. Seem to be doing fine but no blooms yet.Thumb of 2012-07-08/Aguane/2be664

The Plumies went from Detrick to Barb to me and then to you Susie! The Traveling Plumerias!
I never got blooms either.

Your cactus photos are gorgeous. Did you get a new camera? WOW!!! Post them to the data base for sure!

Yep. They're in the plant database as of this afternoon. Trichocereus candicans or Echinopsis candicans (Argentine Giant). I've had the Nikon D5000 for about 1 1/2 and still getting to know it!

I was in Oklahoma for 10 days and ended up stuck in Salt Lake City oin my way home. I guess a haboob hit Sky Harbor and the airport was closed for an hour. What a mess. So glad I had reservations for the super shuttle.

I was wondering if you'd be delayed on your return yesterday, Becky. Glad you're home and back to "normal" hot weather... not the unseasonably hot and humid weather of Tulsa. It can get pretty uncomfortable! ... cute little city, however!
