...the black kind you get with your nursery plants? A local Humble, TX lady who lives close to the big airport has literally 1000s of pots in every size. They are used but veryy useable. 1,3, and 5 gallon are 20 , 30, and 40 cents each. She has a pile of pots with small tears that are 1/2 price. I found 15 gal. pots $1 back there. $3 -27 gal. tree pots and 50 gal. tree pots, too. I won't post her name here but tree mail me and I'll give you her name so you can make arrangements to meet via Facebook messages.

Heres my haul I got for $40

You did good but I got mine for free. 😝

One year I was driving home and saw that someone who lived on my street a block down from me had set some of those black pots on the curb. When I went to get them it turned out that they'd put out 80 of 'em. Yep. Eighty. Eight zero. Kinda ticked me off because I didn't think they should go to the landfill. Took a couple car trips to get them all. Found homes for most and kept a few for myself.

Another year, on my block, someone had the really big ones on the curb. I got 13 but 2 were so nasty that I left them behind.

If anyone is in the general DFW and needs some, send me a treemail.

There's so many places now that recycle that it boggles my mind that people think it's ok to just have pots (ahem) to the landfill.

I have gotten many pots for free in the past. But this time not as lucky. I posted on Social Media a request. I got 3 responses all Flakes. A few responded they had some, then never messaged me again. On one post on a swap site someone responded on my post that a friend of hers also needed pots too. The one who responded to my post gave them to her instead. Frankly, I needed these sizes and the sturdy type exactly and was happy to pay $40. One large pot would have been 3x as much.
