In case I haven't already said it (I wrote it but my service has been screwy lately & may not have posted), I agree with the others. I am so sorry for your loss. Even if that person was sick or elderly & you knew it was just a matter of time, you still the mourn the loss of that person. The times missed now, the words left unspoken. I pray you & your family will find peace & comfort in the days, weeks, & even months ahead.

This got lost in the consternation over lost dibs. I don't recognize them. A new photo with a ruler in millimeters laying next to a seed would probably help.

Finally on the way!

Had quite the battle with my Cannon printer. I use recycled/refillable ink cartridges. I had to refill a new cartridge. I had to drill a hole in the top of the cartridge. After struggling with a tiny hand drill, I grabbed a power drill and drilled through the top and bottom of the darn thing. good thing I had another empty cartridge. All the while hurrying to get the package sealed and in the hands of the postman. I am finally ready when he is....

As you probably know, the cartridges have microchips on them to prevent refills/generics which cause an error message and prevent you from printing. FYI, there is a hack to over-ride the error message on Cannon printers - hold down the STOP button (a red upside down triangle in a circle) for 5 seconds. The display should change from the error message to printing as usual.

It is a beautiful day in Boca Raton - hope the package doesn't hit bad weather on its way to Michigan.

Mine should be there on Tuesday. @GardenQuilts you should have seen my husband the other night when we were trying to print the label. I don't know what was wrong with his computer but he had steam coming out his ears and he brought the printer into the house (it's usually in his shop) and was all, YOU print it! I said, ok. So I'm on my phone navigating through the hoops to use Chrome printing and he fires up my computer and is evidently gonna try to print from that and I say, ok! Printed! And I thought he was going to have kittens that I was able to print from my phone after he couldn't do it on his computer 😂 To be honest I was pretty surprised because usually that never works but it was twice as sweet that it picked that moment to finally work. 😂

Joolie! (poor hubby - life is just not fair)...

At my house it's the opposite. DH is a retired app engineer. I'll work on something for 1/2 hour and not get what I want done but he just LOOKS at the darn computer and it works.

Yeah that's the best part, hubby is a former sysadmin (he's a mechanical engineer now) and I am a former fix-all-the-things tech and we often had very big differences of opinion on tech and since my former field is often looked down on (and I'm a giiiiirl) he would frequently dismiss my viewpoint but due to my wider area of expertise and experience, I was almost always right. Since I have had to stop working I don't even have that anymore so anytime I can sneak in being right for even one second, I relish it unrepentantly.

I didn't actually gloat at him of course but *inside* I felt EXTREMELY SMUG. 😂

Yippee! I found the box of missing seeds I thought my friend had, tells you what kind of house keeper I am, so I can send seeds to those whom I missed. I am so happy.

I unburied one of my guest beds and discovered the missing channel lock wrench, my seed counting tweezers and a couple of other items I had given up on ever finding...I can relate.

I've learned from experience that chewing on people almost always comes back to bite me in the butt, so no, I just asked him for them. OK, 3-4 times but I just asked. LOL

We should have a thread on hacks to prep seeds. I use a plastic dental pick with a metal hook (the pick).
