How sure is the poster that this is indeed C. senilis. Compare this picture to the other pictures posted here. There is a distinct difference in 'hair' type and stem size at the size of the plant compared to the pictures with what I clearly recognize as C. senilis.

I am doubtful about the identity of the plant myself, and not so sure what to call it. Lucichar has not posted a picture in 6 months so might not see this message for a while.

I would like to propose that this image be moved to the generic entry for Cleistocactus, unless Lucichar has more info or Thijs is relatively sure about the species.

This was the name that was posted at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens for this plant when I took the picture. I usually take a picture of the plant and then the name tag.
