Just got mine in the mail yesterday. For those of you who are APS members, be sure to read the article titled "Bill's Plot." How would like to be the person who inherited that lot? Wow.

Got my APS Bulletin today and went straight to this article. Very interesting read! I am very glad to know that a young peony and plant lover is the caretaker of Bill's Lot. So happy to hear that the young man is carefully restoring the lot, the peonies, and the invaluable hybridizing notes and knowledge that Bill Seidl left behind.

I've often wondered what the odds were of someone getting started young enough in life with the knowledge and resources to start a breeding program. Things certainly came together here thanks, in no small part, to the benefactors that wanted to see Mr. Seidl's legacy continue.
The return of perennials in the spring can feel like once again seeing an old friend
