It's really hard changing doctors now. Many won't accept a lot of the insurance plans or medicare. A lot of the doctors are swamped and not taking new patients.

Viola Congress is done. We walked into town at least once every day while in Poznan. Currently sitting in the lounge in Berlin's Tegel airport awaiting a flight to Frankfurt. We'll spend tomorrow there and return home on Tuesday. We were to have gone to Frankfurt by train, but the station being used by the train from Poznan got changed to an outlying one and the time to make the connection to a different station was uncomfortably tight; so we forfeited the second leg of that train trip and booked a flight with lots of time in between. I'll be working on editing pictures and can share some in a few days.

Ugh! It's too hot to be outside at all! It's 94 degrees with a heat index of 96. So much yard work still to do but it's intolerable out there. No rain, either.

I did get a couple of loads of laundry done today, and took a short walk on the treadmill too.

It is cool here all day. Just got back in from exercise walk with Lily dog. we did the 2 1/2 mile route.

Got to get back into the longer exercise walks now that fall is officially here. Mostly I have been doing lots of garden and yard work and then the exercise walk only turns out to be the one mile loop version.

But my yard is mostly weed free this season. Hilarious!

No problem with heat here, we went from summer right into winter, Glare freezing at night, 31 last night, yesterdays high was 48, today is warmer at 51, sun and cloud. Getting lots of exercise inside, made rhubarb jam, and cranberry sauce yesterday. Getting ready for the kids visit in a couple of weeks. Today I changed the bed and have 3 loads of laundry done, one still in the dryer.

Hi Y'all! Just saw weather report. There is definitely a dividing line between cool air and warm air.

I'm glad we are still warm because I don't know what to do with plants if we have freeze! We do need rain!

Now that October is here, we're officially members at the gym again. We went this morning and exercised for an hour. Back to the routine.

Temps are still in the 90s, way too hot to do anything outside.

Karen, is that high temperature normal for this time of year? We are still below average, froze again last night, 30, and so far today it is 50, mostly cloudy. Not much energy to do much of anything today after 3 nights of lousy sleep. Sighing!

Absolutely not! This from the NWS
...ALL TIME OCTOBER RECORD HEAT EXPECTED TODAY... Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 90s by early afternoon with humidity values high enough to push heat indices into the mid and upper 90s. For early October, this is 25 to 30 degrees above normal. Persons sensitive to heat should limit time spent outdoors today. Frequent breaks in the shade and plenty of water for those who must be out during the hottest part of the day.

I'm going to cook stuff for dinner that will cook fast. I don't want the oven on for a long time.

Today, tomorrow, and Thursday. Relief is supposed to arrive Friday with a high of 75. But it's dry, too. We haven't had rain in a long time.

Oh, man. I went to the GP today. She was very nice and never mentioned my weight. (I told you that I worry too much.) Everything she checked was fine. The problem came with the blood draw. It must have taken them 45 minutes and they could only get one vial of blood. They had to send me to the lab I usually go to. There, he had to take blood from two different places since the vein collapsed or something. I'm about used up for the day.

Yup, that midwest heat wave is just crazy. We are supposed to get a day of the heat on Wednesday but by the weekend supposed to be plenty cool again. Just nuts.

Worked pulling weeds., cutting back roses and pulled out two pepper plants and two eggplants. Look Lily dog for a nice exercise walk.

Group hug I've had that same thing happen, Kelli. One way to prevent it is to really hydrate before you go for the lab.

I probably wasn't hydrated enough. I also was cold and the heat packs didn't seem all that hot.

Kelli, I agree with @plantmanager, hydration with water can help plump up the vein to help with lab test.

Dehydration can also cause fatigue.
If you are like me and don't drink much water, especially in hot summer more water my help fatigue to be less. Sodas and caffeine can make dehydration worse.

Now on PBS interesting show about
Acadians from New Brunswick.
Acadians also live in Louisiana and I
think I live in Acadian style house.
