Where did you ever find that amazing ceramic boat?

That's exactly what I thought, the clerk said they get tossed sometimes if no one buys them. The variegated Jade Plant was also a great find for a single digit price (with the pot), just needs some TLC.

DH got me 2 of these (same color) from JoAnn Fabric's spring clearance rack (75% off). He knew I was looking for a shallow dish for my succulents. We went back couple months and these boat planters are back with a few other colors but they were still 30% off, little bit out of DH's price range Big Grin

A fabric store had plant containers? I never would have thought of that.

Found this discarded and when I picked it up it did not look salvageable, put it over night on damp soil and then next day made cuttings out of it. After 24hrs they were planted.
We have all killed plants mostly due to too much love and affection lavished on them, read "watering" I tip my hat to you. .
Regards,
Arif.

Hilarious! guilty on overwatering and rescuing discarded plants! I find myself rescuing more plants and propagating them way too fast. Here's another rescue succulents, around the time I was making the boat succulent (see original pic) I found a tiny clump of "grass-like" succulents on the floor at a big box stores. Ask the clerk if I could have it, who said yes but gave me a Thumbs down "you are one of those" looks with my DH Rolling my eyes.

Grew too fast for my boat succulents planter and here is what i ended up with now:

Mother of all my cuttings, keep it in a small well draining pot.

Started as few clumps in December, able to handle our 40's uncovered and my first time to see blooms:

Yes, JoAnns have beautiful ones, like Stone Faux containers, etc, They start the price expensive and clears it out after every season change (i.e., light colors in spring and dark colors in fall).

I tip my hat to you. Cute tender green succulent and those five pointed star flowers I am quite sure will catch Lynn's eyes and she might come up with a name for it.
Lynn another one or is it two Confused of my Grapto half breed Crying something has flower buds on it. Let me give that starving waif(s) a feed in the morning to get some fat buds. Will post with flowers.

Arif.

I didnt know Joann's had containers.
If you have Christmas Tree Shoppes theyre containers are really reasonable.Trouble is you need to buy it when you see it.They change the inventory often.

True! I'm eyeing the set of stonefaux shallow planters that will look great with my rosette kalanchoe, juniper trees & dwarf Singapore plumie. It will make them look ancient plants or give the appearance of bonsai.

No, I mean the one that was all broken up, and had some buds or blooms on it. It was laying on the ground, had a think stem.

Lynn it is the same as the one which is upright except maybe for the colours of the flowers. Looks like a Sedum torulsum because I don't know for how long it has been disconnected from the soil. I have some cactus pieces which I put away to callus more then six months back. Because they are in the shade, today even they look fresh. Round balls which break away from the parent plants and roll to a new place. Quite invasive some of these rolling cactus, how do they right themselves?

Arif.

I agree i may want to try one of those! My boyfriend brought some wooden shallow wine boxes home for me from the wine store he works at and I'm thinking of sealing those and turning them into vertical gardens! I'm finally getting to slow down on schoolwork, so maybe I'll finally have time to get creative! I'll let you guys know if I make any progress!
