I am keeping fresh sugar water and changing it out daily due our heat
last week was 99 degrees with heat index of 104...

I keep the feeder in the shade so I have to move it often
as the day progresses...
The glass feeder and sugar water will get so hot it will
burn the birds tongues if they try to feed while its in
any sunlight...

I guess I will leave my feeder up changing it daily
out of the sun and fresh sugar water till Nov lst.
We are in south east Alabama...

My cocky female is still here, the male has left. I spotted a new female yesterday, she is somewhat retiring for a hummer..the other female flogs her all the time. They show no signs of leaving, so I will keep the feeder out, probably until Christmas because this awful heat wave seems to go on and on..... the Weather Channel says we have a "cool down" coming next weekend, only into the high seventies to low eighties, to me, that's no cool down! Grumbling
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.
