Kelli's photo looks the same. The name I am finding it under is Echinocereus mojavensis, which supposedly the same.

The photos in this look like mine and the others, both. Also, my local guide told me that's what they are, and nothing else on the Calflora plant finder matches them.

I am not sure what the current status of E. mojavensis is according to the CoL, if it is not recognized as a separate species or subspecies these photos certainly are located under the right entry of E. triglochidiatus. Also this plant has a very large area of occurrence and is pretty variable throughout it. The place where this picture was taken is pretty much at one end of the region where it occurs, which could also play into it looking different from the other pictures.
