Seems they use a very small grid suggestions. I think the one at the nursery simply holds the 4 inch pots making potting a bit easier.

But the costs of using these directions to create your own is very attractive, if you are handy with a hammer and nails.

Great project. How hard is it to keep watered?

To water mine I just lay it on the ground to water, then re-hang after an hour or so.

I do the same with my succulent wreath.

Can they stay outside in the winter? I've not grown succulents before. I'm in 7b.

They can stay out all winter if they are planted with hardy succulents/perennials. Just lay them on the ground.
