I bought a rose called 'New Day.' It's a yellow rose. I'm having trouble with the stems breaking when the wind blows. Should I buy some sort of support for it or should this plant grow out of this? It does have long stems and looks like a rose for cut flowers.

Sorry, Clint. That's a rose I don't have, so I don't know anything about its habit. Maybe it'll toughen up as time goes by, but I suppose some sort of support couldn't hurt. You could always move the support and use it elsewhere if the rose ends up not needing it.

Thanks. I cut the blooms and put in a vase. It's a new plant this year so maybe it'll toughen up a bit this summer. I do like it though!
