So please do add more clear images...even of the bare twigs would be sufficient.
Try not to get anything that distracts in the background.
Shrub would appear to be multiple stems...please take pic to show this as well.
I have taken liberty of lightening your 2nd pic in the hope MISSINGROSIE will be able to see what I see.....ie zig zag twigs...... see below

Yes the photos are not very good quality, I apologise for that. The leaves have fallen off now but I absolutely agree that it is the prunus, now that I've looked through multiple images and compared.

No. Once I saw the zig zag in the branches it seemed clear. No problem

Now just waiting for spring and the mess of garden behind to be changed into a vegetable patch!

You have found a super healthy shrub...all the tiny lumps are the flower buds.
Down south in England it would probably flower in March..up here in Scotland it will probably be April before you see any flowers open.
