Great shot of this wall of sassafras. For range and intensity of color, in my book, nothing beats sassafras. The crushed leaves smell good, too!

Thank you Elizabeth. This picture is near my present home in Indiana. But I remember as a youngster growing up in Michigan the woods were lined with sassafras trees in gorgeous fall colors. I still like the fragrance of sassafras tea made from the roots. And I agree the intensity of color of the leaves is very hard to beat.

By the way I see you are a new member. Welcome aboard. I'm sure you will like this site. And your peony shots are gorgeous! Thumbs up
