I bought this Red Cabbage at the grocery store last year, rooted it and it remained outside all winter. In spring through summer it flowered profusely. Then suddenly grew new shoots and offsets on the stems and the plant is now like a shrub! I thought Cabbage died after flowering but it appears not. Could this survive to live a third year!?

curiosity cabbage plant. Looks really good with healthy leaves. I hope maybe the off setts can be clipped off for more interesting growth.
Interesting experiment. Keep it going. Check with your local Agra extension service. do you remember the name ?
