Thanks for your comments.
We call this plant ( Calothamnus Pinifolius) Dense Claw flower. It is a plant of the Myrtle Family and endemic to Western Australia.
It is actually a small rounded shrub with short needle like leaves.
David took this photo just off a branch of the shrub
which was growing in the wetlands near our home .
We also enjoy seeing the wonderful plants and beauty from around the world.
