Simply Gorgeous! My dream of a garden, wish I had all that room! I made a mistake when named the lily in my pic, that was a species lily from Japan, originally, rubrum uchida. The black beauty didn't bloom. I bet it will this spring/summer!

Love seeing blooming lilies again! You have quite a collection, Kathy. Without doubt the LAs and Asiatics are the best at multiplying!

My "lily time" is now being spent collecting seed pods from my crosses and then the tedious part of "de-chaffing".

A few of my 150+ crosses this year:

Yes, that was L. speciosum rubrum 'Uchida'. Black Beauty is also wonderful!

Connie, I stand in awe of you and all the other gardeners on this site that are breeding and cross breeding their plants. Is there a forum or thread for lilies of these types? Do you participate in them? The fact of your profile name tells me how much you love lilies. Do you ever post pics of your crosses? A lot of questions, please excuse me, this lily lover wants to know. Rolling my eyes.

Sure! Every year we set up a "Seedling" thread in the Lily Forum. Here is this year's thread:
