These flowers are not a match for the species E. gibbiflora. I realize they were placed on Wikipedia as such, and those images came from the Botanical Garden KIT, Karlsruhe, Germany. But somebody appears to have mislabeled the plants there. The inflorescence of E. gibbiflora is a massive thing, sometimes over a meter tall, usually with many branches. Its flowers are a uniform glaucous pink color (red underneath, but heavily dusted with powder). Based on the image above and other images by the same photographer on Wikipedia, this inflorescence is much shorter, much less branched, without much powder on the petals, and with yellow tipped petals.
I do not know what to call the plant in question, but it does not appear to match E. gibbiflora, so I would like to propose moving this image (and the following two by
@SongofJoy from the same source) to the generic entry for Echeveria.
Please let me know what you think.
