This was one of only two shrubs here at the farm when I purchased it. I took some cuttings and 🤞 they survive the winter in their new homes.

It's so pretty and graceful.

That's really lovely. I've been thinking about trying a Leucothoe here. I'm not sure L. fontanesiana would be happy in the Coastal Plain, but perhaps L. populifolia would be?

I hope all of the babies survive; did you plant them all out, or did you keep one or two in a pot that could be protected in a shed, garage, or on a porch?

Good luck,
Virginia

I did plant them all. This bush is huge! I may still take some cuttings and try them in the basement over the winter

I was disappointed to see the plant would not grow in my zone due to heat. I was interested to read the warnings about high toxicity in all parts. The article used the word "fatal".
