I have a problem posting an article. I prepared it in words on my mac 2011 and it will post the words but not the pictures. My file ends in docx. What should I do shy of starting over?

Except for my iPad, I've never used mac products, so I can't be of much help. I'll defer to Dave or some other member who is a mac user. I'd guess those docx files need to be converted to some other file type.

I'm not a Mac user either but I'm pretty sure you will have to upload your pictures using the upload tool in the article editor then move them from there to the article.

Mindy is right. The images must be uploaded separately. Your Word program will not send the images up by itself.

Sure you will. It doesn't take long to do the pictures.

Sometimes I copy an image from one place to my clipboard. In the MS-Word system, riught-mouse-click-Copy, or Ctrl-C.

Then I can Paste it into many graphics-editing programs like "MS Office Picture Manager" ... or something very different in the Mac world, I'm sure! (I keep one empty bitmap image in one folder just for that purpose.)

Anyway, with MSO-PM, as soon as I paste the image from the clipboard into PM, it creates a new file for me. Then I can use Dave's tools to upload that file.

Since you already have all the images "in" one existing document, you could copy-paste each of them pretty quickly into a series of new files, then upload them into Dave's article-editing software fairly quickly.

And then you would also have each image available separately for other uses.

I can do the same thing with screenshots, which is REALLY handy:
