Looks like you have a variety of cultivars. I have had some Early Girl, and just piced the first Celebrity yesterday. Still a way off for the other ones.

I started canning tomatoes this morning.
They're coming in so fast no way that I can eat them all.

No canning here. But I have been giving so many away. A great harvest thus year on the tomatoes.

Picked a bowl full, last week, and doing the same this week.
Nothing like tomatoes right off the vine!
The ones which ripened are Glacier---an heirloom from Sweden.
The tomatoes are about golf ball size.

Thank you Rita

It is a nice basket. But if I filled it with 20 pounds of tomatoes, I would not be hauling it around as it would be too heavy. Rolling my eyes.

I have made 5 or 6 baskets of various sizes and shapes that we use for harvesting. Here's my smallest one. It's good for picking small items or cherry tomatoes.

Thumb of 2012-08-24/dave/20204a

I have one identical to it but about 4 times bigger that can hold perhaps a half bushel.

Very cool Dave Hurray! , over the winter you should make a couple to raffle off.
I'd buy a bunch of tickets. Hurray!

I agree

I'd buy a bunch of tickets, too!

That's a lovely basket! Nice job!

I found inexpensive wire baskets and liners at a dollar store this year. Here, they're attached to a post to keep the raccoons from tipping over my cut flowers on the deck. I hadn't thought to use them for hauling in produce. Thanks for the nudge, Paul. Thumbs up
