Wondering if any of the "new" Hostas has lit your boat, Solberg at Green Hill Farm has his list out and Josh at In the Country Garden and Gifts have some newer ones. Nothing that excites me yet.

I'm not looking! I'm slowing down on the gardening, so I don't need the temptation!

I'm always thinking I should slow down, but if I find an interesting one I might be able to find a spot. So far nothing that exciting.

I have not been tempted by anything I have seen so far. Usually try to make an order worth the postage.

Midnight Oil is tempting, but it needs the 'right ' spot to look good. I just don't have that kind of energy any more.

Great list! I have Road Rage from last year, looking forward to it this spring, looking at Lettuce Wrap, could not get past his new hostas to see the others, Jane's Blush looks nice!

I lost Purple Haze last year so I hope this one is a more well behaved one! I couldn't open his list either. He must not have it updated with all of his 2020 plants.

Just curious what suppliers that would have been?

we still have snow on the ground and my backyard is spring swamp but i'm looking!

I think I'm going to order:

Foxfire Palm Sunday (yours is so beautiful, crawgarden! it convinced me)
Risky Business
Medusa
Peach Salsa (this has been a want for a year or so)
Copa Cabana
Jessica Alba
Bridal Falls (I want something in the large category and flashy to replace a shrub I'm taking out)

I'm lacking in golds and am filling in some spots in the front which gets afternoon sun. I'm in zone 4b so nothing too hot and I keep things well watered so should be okay.

Hostas in pots in a hot and humid Houston, TX

i'm in totally the opposite zone from you (USAZ3, Canada zone 4b) but i've been watching the American Hosta Association FB page for a couple of years and the consensus is they do really well but you need to find a way to give them their dormant period in a way that they won't dry out completely, but won't get too wet and freeze which can kill them. also keep them away from nesting rodents. most people tend to store them in an unheated shed/garage, or tip them on their sides for the cold season. during the hot season, you need to make sure they're in sufficient shade so they don't fry, and keep them very well watered since pots tend to dry out quickly.

i am still waiting for confirmation they're going to ship my previous order i'd listed...sellers seem to be hesitant about sending things out in case there are delays. but i found a new seller and asked for:

Church Mouse
Firn Line
Theo's Blue (one of my cats is named Theo Lovey dubby )
Climax
Joy Ride

oh, and the seller is going to visit another farm down the road from herself and see if she can get me Lemon Kiss which i admired so much in Rose's garden last year!

none of them are mind-blowingly new, but ones i've loved seeing photos of and good compliment colours to the rest of my collection. i don't have a ton of space so tend to stick in the small/medium sizes so i can fit more in Big Grin

we're still rather chilly in New Brunswick, so i literally have 2 that have pips above the ground in my current gardens. the rest are showing life signs but are being cautious

I've got to quit buying plants! I don't even remember that one!

I did add a few Glad Rags to my gardens this year. At least that's what they're supposed to be. They're nice sized plugs, but still not opened to see the markings.
