I bought the top left plant as Berry Allusion, and the bottom left as Exotic Allusion. They don't look like those on the Exotic Angel Plants site.
http://www.exoticangel.com/pla... I was going to enter them in the data base, but I don't want them to be mislabeled. The two on the right side have been growing in my garden a few years. I don't have any tags for them and hope someone can ID them. I pinched leaves that were new so as to be the same size. The bottom right one looks like it could possibly be Pink Allusion.

The two on the far right in the second photo are there for scale. They are both from the same plant winding through the garden in deep shade. I love the occasional "albino."

Hope someone can help!

Hi Sandi, A couple of those leaves looks like Berry Allusion to me: Arrowhead Vine (Syngonium podophyllum 'Berry Allusion') but one might be Mango Allusion.

The one to the far right in your second photo looks like one I had a long time ago, S. podophyllum Albo-variegatum: Arrowhead Vine (Syngonium podophyllum 'Emerald Gem')

Scroll way down this page to Syngonium for some photo's of different varieties: http://www.glasshouseworks.com...

Linda, the pink one (bottom right) is in a pot, but has meandered all over our side yard. It stays fairly "pink!"

I think you're right about the alba. I'm always surprised, though, when I see the totally white leaves. I usually take them inside and try to root them on the window sill in the kitchen. They do produce roots, but I forget about them and eventually, the stem craters!

Oh, that is gorgeous! There's a pink one in the Allusion series, I think it's called Neon.

I'm glad I opened this. I have one, too only I knew it simply as Pink Arrowhead Plant. I also have the green one. Now I know the name. Thanks! This forum is great!

Cheryl, your pink sure looks like mine (above). I don't remember where I bought it. I think I'll just call it the "pink one."

I think my Pink Arrowhead Vine caught my eye at Home Depot, the one with the best plants as opposed to the other Home Depot, the one who's plants are not cared for. It was much smaller two years ago. We were having a wedding celebration and thought it brought nice color to that little table. Now it's taken over the entire table! I got the pot there, too. Too bad you can't see it, it is blue and really really, really beautiful. It was made for a water garden so it didn't have drainage holes. But I knew the Arrowhead Vine loves water so it is not an issue. In fact, I water it daily and it does fine with that.

I bring her in in the winter. The green ones fight for their lives under a bed of leaves all winter. Crying

Hi @NatureGirl75.

The name is Arrow Head Vine, ( Genus) Syngonium (species) podophyllum

Here is some info on care. In your zone 3b, it will have to come inside for the winter, so best to keep it in a container.

Hi NatureGirl75, Welcome!

Your lovely plant is definitely the Arrowhead Vine (Syngonium podophyllum) and it appears to be one of the Allusion series, possibly Arrowhead Vine (Syngonium podophyllum 'Berry Allusion')

thanks! Smiling I mixed abit of ash soil with the potting mix.. and it really took off.. both colorwise and leafwise.. the roots are nice and thick on this plant. I got it at Walmart ( exotic angel houseplants) I would also like to try a CROTON but not sure how hardy they are?

thanks! I plan on keeping this as a houseplant yr round... I do have it by a window that gets alot of sun.. so between that and adding some ash soil before I transplanted it, it really gained it's pink color nicely as it was pale when I bought it ( a rescue case). Seems like I am always wanting to rescue something.

NatureGirl, Codiaeum (Croton): http://garden.org/plants/searc... are lovely tropical landscape plants here in Florida but they will not survive winters outside in your area so you'd have to grow them as a container plant to be moved in during the winter months.

I read that the arrow head plant species are toxic to animals and the site even recommends that you wash your hands after touching or handling these. Could My have touching a leaf of this plant and then tending My chokeberry ( aronia) bush have caused the leaves to now start turning black and falling off? is this species toxic to other plants? or just animals?

@NatureGirl75 There are a number of plants that can be/are toxic to pets and even some that can be toxic to adults. Yes, S. podophyllum has crystals of oxalate that don't dissolve in liquid. Look at this link from The Pet Poison helpline.

http://www.petpoisonhelpline.c...

No, handling Arrow Head and touching another plant will not "poison" the plant touched.

We just moved and we have so much Arrowhead Vine taking over part of the wooded area of our backyard (along with ferns and Virginia Creeper) that I'm going to be out yanking as much as possible in the coming weeks!

The Syngonium (Arrowhead Vine) is trailing all over the ground, climbing palm trees, oak trees and pine trees. It is such a pest! Grumbling

Thank goodness the Epipremnum (Pothos/Devil's Ivy) is only on one tree ... there are smaller vines trailing on the ground that I will yank out soon.
