Either Barbara My Love or Fortunata. Should be able to tell for sure in the morning (but I think it is Barbara). Thumbs up

Deb/Dirt: Ewww, I didn't really want to say because I love this hybridizer and his work. To put it in perspective, several of his Irises are in my top 10 and also several I have searched all over before finally finding. But for this one, it's just a color range dislike for me but I don't like Buckskin Ruffles. I Love and really want Lost Emotion.

Hilarious!
It's all good Elsa--we can still admire and even worship the great hybridizers without adoring every single iris they create, right?
Well I can anyway Sticking tongue out
Thanks for fessing up--I'm with you on that one, although Leslie's pic of Buckskin Ruffles is much more subdued and doesn't frighten me so...

Elsa ~ I must be in the minority here....I like Buckskin Ruffles. (They look a lot prettier when enlarged.)

Great photos all! Hurray!

I'm with Evelyn on Buckskin Ruffles, but there are many colour combinations which I don't really care for - which is fortunate for otherwise I would be completely broke! Whistling Hilarious!
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice!

Lilli ~ I think there are enough irises out there for everyone's taste, yet each year new ones are being created. It's so much fun to see what will be next. You are right, we can't have them all, though some try.... nodding

One confirmation this morning. And it is Barbara My Love. A tad damaged from the hard freeze a couple of weeks back, but I don't particularly care--it is a bloom! Hilarious! Thumbs up

Dirt: Those beards on Quaffable are gorgous.
Ev: Shoot, I enlarged Buckskin Ruffles and in one pic it almost appears to have some green. Watch, I will find some comment somewhere where I said I liked it (cause I thought it was green Smiling ). Well and that's another thing, I know my tastes and I am sure others tastes take turns here and there. In 2023, Buckskin Colored Irises may be my new "Have To Have" Smiling
Debra: I have "Awaiting Bloom" anxiety Smiling but seeing your pics takes the edge off a bit! I have about a dozen SDB/MDBs showing promise, a few Intermediates with real fat middles and TB Footloose hiding a big bump: I am going to guess though, my next blooms are a week away. What do you think of Barbara My Love? I was thinking about purchasing it!

@greeniris thank you, thank you elsa, for 'teagan'. bless its little heart, it tried to bloom. one fall, and one standard, were all it could manage this year. it was battered in the rain we had a few days ago before i noticed, or could take any pictures.

you are right about the turquoise in the falls. Lovey dubby the brief glance i had of its fleeting moment, leaves me sighing. i'll have to wait a whole year hoping for it to bloom again.

because it bloomed soooo short, i'm moving it to a pot, so it can be viewed closer, and it will better the odds i won't miss seeing it bloom.

Weather can create weird and wonderful 'flaws' in Iris blooms. Case in point: Barbara My Love. Sticking tongue out

The mystery Iris is mystery no more...and it isn't either of the ones I guessed it would be. Hilarious! It is Judy Schneider and I now vaguely remember what I did. Here is another weirdness example that may be weather-related (and maybe not Whistling ) In the second image, the Iris on the right is the same as the now-not-a-mystery Iris on the left. Look at the height differences. Shrug!

And here is Tahiti, just because. Because I clicked on them accidentally and am too lazy to take them off. Rolling on the floor laughing

Debra: Thank You! That would be great. Please find something(s) in my list I can send in trade.
That's a big height difference between those two Irises!
The acorn is for Tahiti! I am obsessed Smiling

Daphne: Ahh, I hope Teagan works out for you. One reason I sent it, was For it to be kind of a risk free way to see if SDBs work for you. I do know they like a cold spell but sometimes I even question if Teagan is an SDB. It grows 12" to 13" tall for me. Most SDBs grow short for me. But as long as they bloom and increase, I just try to pretend I am lucky and have a Garden full of MDBs.
I am also surprised Ev had trouble with it. It must be the difference in environment. It is my strongest SDB. I have to cull a little every year to keep it from overtaking it's neighbors.
