This is a new forum that was created as the merging of the vegetables, herbs, fruits and nuts forums. If you were previously watching any of those forums, you have automatically been added to the list for this one.

The Veggie forum was a little slow but those other forums you merged in must have been totally totally slow. I see everything on the main page of this newly titled forum is from the veggie forum.

Well, I do know many people can and perserve food so manybe things will pick up some. Big Grin

Dave, I was just thinking. Is there any way you can feature this forum to let more people know we are here and get more traffic?

The competion, which is no where as great as ATP, has a good amount of traffic on their veggie forums. While my main flower growing forum here (which is the daylily forum) is hopping busy, the veggie forum was quite, quite slow. And I am really into growing my veggies.

A lot of people (and me!) have worked to promote ATP to the daylily community and that explains why that forum (and that part of the database) are so active with lots of people. That is a very open and welcoming community and there's lots of sharing of links and information between the daylily sites, including us.

I don't see that happening in the great vegetable world, so I'm not really sure where are appropriate places to feature ourselves. I'd love your thoughts!

I don't have any useful thoughts LOL! Hilarious! I just really like to talk and show off my veggie growing and see what others are doing. Just like I do on the daylily forum and my flower gardens.

Unfortunately, I am forced to post on Daves Garden and Gardenworld veggie forums if I want much chance of lots of people seeing it. On Daves they have a wonderful thread called Whats Going On In Your Veggie Garden and it has added posts all day long. People show off what they have picked and just talk veggie garden news. Show off their veggie gardens.

Maybe I should start a similiar thread here?

But maybe if you put the fact that all these forums have mergered into the newsletter it might send some new folks over to the newly merged superforum. Talk up the new forum so to speak.

I think a similar thread here is a great idea and I will participate if you start it! And yes, we'll put this in the newsletter for next Monday. Smiling

Ok, I started that thread. I really need new pictures in order to add more but I will do so in the next few days. Meanwhile maybe this thread will give people some ideas and they will join in. Green Grin!

Ever do a special edition of the news? Farmers Markets right now have peak produce and it is a good time to buy and can, freeze, preserve.

It would make a good special edition don't you think Whistling

Humm, I got my ATP Newsletter as usual this morning but there was nothing about our wonderful newly formed superforum. I noticed that there used to be a chatty thing at the begining called news from Trish but that has been missing the past few weeks. Not there this week either. I liked the news from Trish feature of the newsletter.
