Talk about repurposing ...
I did not want to shove my pruners in my back pocket anymore, while gardening. I was tired of gouging holes in whatever chair I sat on. I needed to eliminate the problem of setting pruners down 'for a minute' then spending the rest of the day looking for them. And, I really didn't want to spend big money on an official, brand name leather pruner belt/holster set.
I found this $15 small hand gun holster, made of suede cowhide, lined with felt and very heavy duty. The best part is my garden pruners fit perfectly and do not slip out. This holster is designed to clip on. I clip it to my left front blue jeans pocket, as I am right-handed. But you could clip this holster any place. The clip is not going to let loose.

I did sew the bottom of the holster closed, not wanting the sharp tip of the blades to be exposed.

Great idea!
Unfortunately I would still set my pruner down somewhere along the way and forget where, but I would still have the holder! Smiling

I got the idea at a gun show. I tagged along, just people watching.
Then in a moment of inspiration I saw the holster and asked to see it. The dealer asked what type of gun I had - uh - (think fast he won't sell this to me if I tell the truth) so I said it's a gift.
Later DH laughed out loud all the way home.
I don't care .. I love my holster.

You thread the belt in the handle of the milk jug & then put the belt on. You then have something for small fruits or berries or pruners or your cell phone.

OMG. I put my favorite pair of pruners down over a week ago and I still haven't found them. This is such a good idea. Thank you!
I have found that coffee, tea, and rose can all agree on one thing... water everyday.
