They will be sold through Aitken's Salmon Creek. This year I have seed from the two of them crossed so I bet they will be exciting.

Both of these should be blooming during the clinic. All the iris judges have loved them too!

Asa,

Here are a couple more that should be blooming when you're here. These might make the mark for introduction too.

They are a bit more difficult to find but Schreiner's, MidAmerica and Aitken's all sell them here locally. They work beautifully with semps too.

And they are so easy to grow in the same conditions as semps.

I'm writing a book on these now and will of course talk about how good they are with semps. I've also already mentioned Lynn's clever use of positioning them in opening in cement blocks in a draft of the book! You can make mini gardens of them just by putting together groups of cement blocks, fill them with a light mix and plant. I think Lynn was shocked at all the pretty colors and patterns that the new ones have.

The Pacific Coast Natives should be blooming when you're here in April too. They are similar in size to the dwarf bearded irises but want shade. I know Julia and Patty are in love with them too.

Hopefully I'll have the iris book in print for the '21 Clinic!

Looks the the dwarf irises are hardy enough for zone 6b! I'm going to do some research on adding these next year.

I have a few small iris in my perennial beds but the names are long gone. They bloom so early, which is a happy thing for me as it shortens the darn winter. Love those Kevin, I'll have to buy those, so pretty.

Yes, those Pacific Iris are gorgeous! When I was in the iris club I bought a few but not really growing well for me. I think too much sun. I'll be drooling over yours this spring Kevin.

Jesse, you will become addicted to the dwarf iris, you won't be sorry you gave them a try.

ooh yes--caution--the addiction hazard is real! and the iris virus can cause some psychological impairment, well physical too, cuz when your brain isn't rational you can carelessly hurt yourself (says the loopy old bat who broke her foot--and face and camera--trying to photograph an imported iris Rolling on the floor laughing )

Jesse,

Oh yes I grew them in MA very well. In fact some of the classic ones originated in MA. and yes you'll have another addiction! Just ask me!
