Barbara ~ Pretty choices. I know that I can't have "them all", so I'm going to have to just admire some from a distance.

Jan ~ I guess some irises don't bloom every year. It's always nice to get blooms when you have waited to see them.

Tom ~ it is currently in the 30's here, so even here in CA, I need winter hardy irises. Preferably rot resistant as well. Though the summers are dry, the ground in winter usually stays pretty damp all season. And then there is the winter-spring dance. It will warm up, then freeze, sometimes over and over. The ones that fail after several tries will not have a home here.

Iclehman, I added a "]" after the "lightbox" so we could see your lovely picture.

There have been so many that have stopped me in my tracks. I have to say, Adoree poses nicely for close ups, but has been a weak grower for me too..

I would agree with Barbara about 'Tango Amigo'... stunningly beautiful, but the gophers got it.

I'm also in agreement with Tom about 'Reckless Abandon'... I grinned like an idiot the first time it bloomed...

I find the smoky colors of 'Jungle Shadows' enchanting. There's no other like it..

'Glowing Smile' bloomed for the first time this year.. huge flowers in my favorite happy colors produced my own glowing smile.

You know when you look at a catalog, and you know the colors must have been enhanced? 'Rustic Charm' is such a rich combination of colors, and lived up to the catalog picture..

I could go on.... but I'd be up all night.. Whistling
