Wow that sure a beautiful hummer Ceci...and I could look at your pictures all day.

Mine is zipping around, buzzes by my head out there, some pics on my camera but haven't downloaded to computer yet...hope they turn out.

Oh boy do they ever!!!!! I swear that fire spike brings hummers more than any other plant.

I have firespike in purple and they seem to like that one even more, tougher than the red when it comes to cold weather. I was surprised to see a hummer sipping from my bromeliad blooms last night, I didn't think they paid any attention to them. I didn't catch any photos though

Thank you Nancy, that plant is Russelia sarmentosa aka: Firecracker plant. I never see it in the garden centers anymore, but have seen it for sale at plant sales. It is easy to propagate, pretty cold tolerant but will freeze if temps too long below freezing, has always come back bigger and better.
