James you are a wizard at explaining things the way you see it. I believe some are rushing their unique plants to intro to get the name out there and get the ball rolling. Guy always mention when there is a limited supply. Whatever that means. I am sure it is a certain number of fans based on their experience. You always want to be the first to put the "Clown" out there first. Right Steve ? We want the garden to be self sufficient financially, right ?

I am sad to say I don't have a single Davisson daylily. Looking at her site for the life of me I don't know why. Grumbling Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing A whole bunch will be going on my want list including Purple Lives Matter, and Roses for Dallas and I have a few of the older ones I will order if I can think of where to put. I wish I had seen these before I ordered some of the others I got D'Oh! Whistling

Marcia, there are two sellers on the LA that I know of who have posted some of her more sought after daylilies: Celestial and Cglilies. Celestial does not post auctions very often, but I was able to get DOCTOR McGREGOR'S GARDEN and SULTRY GIRLS from him. And I was thrilled to get TAHITI SWEETIE from Cglilies.

ON the Lily Auction just key in Davisson in the first box on the left side in the title, keyword, cultivar box and it will bring up a list of current ones for sale by several sellers.

When I can get daylilies directly from Judy that is the way I go as she sends very nice sized fans. Sometimes what I want are not available thru her so the LA can be an alternative way to find what I am looking for. I actually made a mistake when I was going to send Marcia a T mail and ended up sending it to the forum when my computer locked up and I had to enter the message a second time. I am glad it was helpful to you, Betty.

I just discovered I DO have at least one, although unintentionally: Backseat Debutante. Oddly enough, given that Judy D. is an NC grower from MI. I got this daylily as part of a "I'll let you choose" shipment from an awesome grower in MI.
Hardy hibiscus are a hobby, but daylilies are an obsession.

Ken, Judy used to live in MI and hybridized here before moving to NC. I wish I had of known of her then, she's done some amazing work.
God blessed me with dirt.
