Hi there!
I have a little fern that I just love, and for a while it did great, but lately I've noticed that parts of it are turning brown. Most of the brown seems to be on the bottom, almost like the top fronds are keeping light from the bottom ones. I have it in a terra cotta pot in a SW facing window (gets bright indirect light) and I water it every week to 2 weeks. I have it on a tray with pebbles and water for humidity, and I mist it every day or so. Any idea what is going wrong? Also, what particular fern is this? Thank You!

It looks like it needs water. The soil looks way too dry. The soil has pulled away from the pot. Moist but not soaked soil is needed.

Should I repot it? It is currently in a terra cotta pot (that we all know is porous). Should I repot it into something that is nonporous so that the pot doesn't get some of the water?
