I always have a hard time keeping bulbs with multiple stems reasonably balanced; despite being in the same pot, the stems somehow always seem to lean in different directions. Do you have any tips or tricks for managing this?

I stake each stem, as insurance against the bulb pulling out of the soil.

Plant deeper or use a deeper pot. Plants don't stack themselves. Why should you? Recommendations on bulbs are shallow. Increases mortality. Deep means less mortality.

I take a ribbon and tie them all together - then they hold each other up. That is, of course, unless they all lean over in the same direction. D'Oh! Hilarious!

I think part of the problem is that my home interior is so dim that the plants are starved for light. I wonder if getting a grow light would help. The buds are coming up now, which is so exciting.

Anything you can do to increase light will benefit blooming. You are trying to trick the bulb into thinking that spring has come.

That's given me another use for my many velcro computer straps for tying up cords!
