The white velvet does make a nice filler in pots, I like the fuzzy leaves. The speckled is interesting too.

I have noticed that White Velvet turns a bit greenish in shade and the leaves are smaller also.

I have been saying the last few months I'm going to do a major trim on this plant and never do.
Think this weekend it's going to happen. The bare vine on some of these is getting close to 3' long. LOL

They always do that indoors for me. I just keep them barely alive for winter, then let them go nuts outside over summer.
Plant it and they will come.

Same here, Sally. That looks surprisingly good for an indoor plant.

This plant has been growing indoors for around 2 years now.

This happened.

Cut all the long stems off. Trimmed the growing tips of the removed stems and re-potted back into the planter to hopefully get it to really fill in thick and full.

In my experience they need a lot pt of light to stay thick and bright. I have them in outdoor sun over summer.
Plant it and they will come.

I visited a garden in Redlands FL, it's next to Homestead; so as far south as you can get before Key Largo. And i saw the most purple tradescantia there. They plant cultivated varieties of many plants.
This one had tiny leaves and a very thin stripe and no green and it is in dappled sun:

This one has much larger leaves and even more purple:

and just for comparison this one is in Fairchild gardens, Miami FL:
also in part sun but almost all green. Engulfing everything in it's way :).
It's a very nice groundcover; next to Monstera for scale.

The lady we bought our house from 21 years ago did some wicked things. Before she vacated she tossed plants she decided she didn't want out in the woods. One was syngonium, one was a running bamboo, and one was zebrina. Been fighting all 3 ever since

I just started some cutting for a plant share. Damp soil, under lights, and they never even blink. The leaf texture, you know, sort of semi succulent.
Plant it and they will come.

Up here we get asiatic dayflower, annual, I imagine pilling zebrina is like pulling that. flimsy so the roots and pieces are left behind.
Plant it and they will come.
