There has been some discussion in the cactus forum about the identity of this plant, but I'm pretty sure it's not an Echinocereus and I would not know what to call it.

Barring last-minute insight, I would like to propose the image be moved to the unknown plants file, since we do not have an entry in the database for Cactaceae.
If anyone knows what to call this cactus, please say the word.
