How can I add the symbols at the bottom of the page to my threads? I have tried several things and nothing works.

You should be able to click on them and they will then add the appropriate tag to your post. Then preview the post and you should see them appear, like this:

Avedon (and everyone else too) join us at the chat thread on the daylily forum. It is called The Porch Swing and many of us hang out there. Lots of fun! If your new, just jump right in at the end. Don't be shy. We talk about all sorts of things. Cooking, whats for dinner. TV shows, good books, what we have been doing in the garden and just general things in life. Great fun!

The daylily forum is my favorite forum here at ATP and The Porch Swing is my favorite thread. We do talk about lots of garden things there but also lots else too. It a very social thread and I love the way you feel like you get to know people there.
