Can somebody identify this Amaryllis for me please? So far `Exposure` seems to be the closest.

It could possibly be Exposure, which has been on the market for about 20 years. Exposure does not have a red eye (markings around the very center of the throat). How long have you had this? Also did you get it with a particular label (name)? There are several other cultivars that have the word "pink" in them, but none of them seem to be a particularly close match. If that is one bulb, it is very impressive with so many scapes.

Hiya Barbara,
I acquired this recently as my neighbour was going to throw it out after blooming. It was bought for her, but she can`t remember what the name was - or where it was purchased. It had three blooming scapes, and the five leaves are now over two feet high in excellent condition. I hope it blooms again next year. Crossing Fingers!

Wow, so nice that you were able to adopt this bulb. I hope that you enjoy it for many years.

Warren, that is gorgeous, and why I love amaryllises! Nice job adopting the would-be discarded bulb. I agree that Exposure is a very good candidate. I can't think of another that matches as well. A positive identification would be different though. Not sure how that would be possible. But at least we're talking about amaryllises, and not irises, or daylilies, where identification is nearly impossible.

Here`s another that I found on a discarded pile of garden waste. It looked in a sorry state with the leaves so beaten up I had to cut them off. Two weeks ago I re-potted it but saw no signs of life.

This morning I got up and noticed this..... Hurray!

That strong will to live, is one of the reasons that I love Amaryllis. Just when you are about to give up on them, you get a pleasant surprise. I always advise, no matter how bad it looks, stick the bulb in a pot and give it time to recover.
