How do I post a URL so that it is a direct link to the site? I'm used to another forum where there is a specific place to post links. It's probably right before my eyes here, but somehow I am missing it. Apologies in advance for my ignorance......Maryl

The easiest way: if you just copy and paste the address into the post, it will automatically become clickable.

If you are familiar with bb code, that works here, too.

Thank you for the response. I thought that is what I did (cut/paste) but it didn't look like a link (not highlighted). Must have done it incorrectly. Will try it again some time in the future.......thank you for your prompt response. I like that about this site........Maryl

Glad to help! Feel free to practice here. Just select the web address, copy it, and paste it in the post. Make sure the http: part is included at the beginning.

Margaret is right. And I always preview my posts containing a link to make sure it shows up right. You can also click on the link in your preview screen and open it in a new window so you can tell if the link takes you where you intended.
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.

Just noticed that I had more replies. Thank you so much. I haven't had occasion to post another link on this forum, so will check it out next time using all the knowledge you all have given me. Thanks Mindy on the tip about WHEN the link will show up highlighted. Important piece of information........Maryl

Hi Maryl,
Dave has made so many things intuitive here that the simplest way is often the correct way.
