I was browsing some blog posts and stumbled upon yours. Just lovely! I, too, am a Senior gardener. I have the achy back and knees to prove it. I have certainly SLOWED DOWN with my gardening in the last few years. Eliminated some garden beds and now plant more things in pots then in the ground. But ... I still love playing in the dirt!

Hubby and I live in the Pocono Mountains of PA, so we KNOW what cold climate gardening is. Shorter growing season and very unpredictable weather ... especially the last 5 years or so. Yet, gardening gives me so much pleasure, I'll keep doing it as long as I am able!

Thank you Jane for commenting. This will be another year of "slowing down" in the garden for me. I must admit that physically I cannot keep up with everything, especially weeding and "hands & knees" work. I plan to keep going as long as I can. Gardening is a labor of love. And somehow it gives us the inspiration to keep going. Take care, and again thanks for posting!
