No. I wish. Maybe if it was planted is a very protected place. I got a stalk with leaves still attached of a stricta called Las Cruces and planted it in the ground last November, in my warmest 'by the house' spot and it made it through the winter and only lost a single leaf...and has new shoots now so there is a possibility of having a heliconia in the ground here. But, our lowest temp this past winter was only 30 as far as I know
