When I look at the ones I ordered and planted, I'm thinking why didn't I pick a white one. Has anyone purchased a tall bearded iris that is ruffled and all white? Suggestions?

My Beloved....Ghio 2009 is my favorite. His Forever Blowing Bubbles is lovely also but I think MB is a better grower.

Oh Paul that is just beautiful. That one goes on my wish list!
Just think how that would look next to some of the ruffly soft blues. I could put ruffly blue and white pansies in front of them, too. : Lovey dubby

I've been very happy with *Nordica* -- but it does have orange beards.

There's always Immortality, and you would get rebloom in the fall in your zone, but my favorite is Laced Cotton, it's so lacy and ruffly.

Hi,! Cindi, I can;t top those whites already suggested, but if you are going to plant them next to blues, check out "Spring Shower". It's a Keppel that I didn't see on the Keppel thread, must not be everyones favorite. Sorry for no picture, but they are on the web.It would look super between the whites and the blues, I think...Arlyn

I agree with Paul My Beloved is my favorite White it blooms late and grows well beautiful flower, it is hard to find a pure white I think there is very few ruffled good ones out there but if you don't mind a little bit off white or a different beard color there are some really good ones. Here are my Fav's from this year.

Maybe everyone knows this but just as a point of curiosity......... genetically Laced Cotton is a plicata and has just a few faint plicata markings on the hafts. Now there's some useful information Whistling

I would never have guessed that Paul! Always learning something on the forum. Julia, too bad I didn't know you wanted some whites, I sold and gave away a lot of my Laced Cotton, or I would have sent you some. Another mostly white that I like a lot is H C Stetson It has some pinkness to the standard, but very faint. Bloom is a little smaller then some, but nicely shaped.

Brad, what on earth do you do to get such gorgeous clumps? Your pictures are just astounding. Do you fertilize or amend the soil, or WHAT?
Julia, I thought I was through shopping for this year, but after seeing all these great photos, I'm checking on these too! Hurray!

Another older one with brilliant beards is LARK ASCENDING. The falls are a little more cream colored than the standards, but I think it's totally forgivable. And I just love all the ruffles!
